Mark,

I'll think you will find this is not being caused by the ACE server. ACE
wasn't even running at the time I was testing. My feeling is that it is
somehow related to the way you respond to requests using either the
host name or ip address or a combination of the two. Remember my
remote machine knows nothing about my ECS web servers host name
and my ECS web server machine knows nothing about my remote
client's host name other than his ip address. Tonight I will place a hosts
file on both machines with an entry for the other machine and see what I
get. Using just an ip address in the url should quickly prove this. Do your
test machines including the ECS server have hosts entries for all of your
PC's?

Later,

Brad

Hi Brad,
I strongly suspect that the problem has something to do with
your "ace" server (which I know nothing of).
Your DBG.TMP also shows that ECS never received a request for
ANY applet (strange).

BTW, in diagnosing such problems, it is VERY important to inform me of
anything "unique" about your PC (such as a "special" installed server).

Have you tried entering the 2ND IP address
(perhaps the first is for ACE ?) ?:
	host_nam=ace-server he.h_name=ace-server addrtype=0x2
length=4
	he.h_addr_list:
		host_sai[0]=10.1.1.1:3000
		host_sai[1]=90.103.52.254:3000

Perhaps someone (INGO ?) can shed some light on your error message
(as generated by HOTJAVA on a remote PC):
	[Console enabled]load: Ecsio.class is not public or
	has no public constructor.java.lang.IllegalAccessException:
