I don't KNOW.... that's what I'm trying to find out.
The MS-DOS box is created whenever a START command is issued. If you go to
Start Button | Run, and type in "START notepad.exe", an MS-DOS box will
_briefly_ pop up before Notepad starts. That's what is hanging up on me.
However, I'm not sure of the command that prompts the DOS boxes, because
they are fired automatically by ECS.
I'm sure you're aware of the number of things the ECS dos that rely upon DOS
boxes such as this. Even double-clicking ECS.EXE brings up an MS-DOS box.
Also, EDM and WPDL are run in DOS boxes.
