Mark, this is a known bug with windows. I don't remember the fix (I think
there are several) but if you check microsoft's support site you will find
the answer.

Can anyone tell me why a PC would no longer SAVE my
dialup password (and so forces me to enter it every time) ?
I've tried EVERYTHING.
All I know is that happened after I installed the latest
IE on this PC.
