Paul,

If you're going to have ECS do the writing to the file, then have the
routine that does the writing to also set a flag that indicates the file has
been created/changed. Upon detection of the flag, have your send (via
postie) routine reset the file flag upon completion.

I don't use/know anything about postie but others here do.

Also, you might look at Marks TVL DL event in EXAMPLE.CFG for an idea of how
to log onto internet, download information, and let ECS know it's all done.

Look carefully also at the new types "Character-A" (I think) and the related
file stuff contained in TV-Guide, TV-Listing..... The best place to start
is TVL Parse routine which reads files and places selecte information into
ECS variables..... Mark really did good work on all of that!

I know none of this explicitly addressed your problem, but maybe point you
in the right direction?

Good luck and let us know!

Bill Walters
