Subject: From: Date: | ECS Web Suggestion Martin Terry Fri, 2 Jun 2000 18:07:44 -0700 |
Mark,
I realize you are working hard on improvements, and I have a suggestion -
Is there some way to limit the number of parameters to pass for a light item
type? I initially setup my web pages passing icon names for only the off and
on states, deleting the parameters for the 0 to 100% states.
Since then I have added the 0 to 100% parameters using the same icon image
for the parameter - a icon that is a lightbulb "half on". Since then the
performance of that page is really poor, because of the 20 or so lights
passing hundreds of parameters. Is there anyway you could add a "default"
image parameter which would be used for any state not specifically
specified? This way for people like me, who don't need 102 different icons
for each state could define just 3. Performance would be much better,
especially for us slow P133 users.
In the meantime I'm thinking of actually converting all my web page light
items to true/false and using an event to update the state.
