Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Juke box / CD changer / music PC system (KVM) Wayne Wittenberg Sat, 3 Jun 2000 23:06:40 -0400 |
KVM switch = keyboard video mouse switch
kinda like a fancy A/B switch that allows one set of keyboard/monitor/mouse
to control multiple computers.
the mouse is the tricky part, the computer usually doesn't care if you
unplug & replug a keybd or monitor, but they often will not resync with a
mouse, therefore a good KVM switch has active electronics.
I use a Linksys 4 port and love it, it uses normal cables and has inputs for
keyboard din & mini din, & mouse mini din & DB9.

Anyway, just curious, but what is a KVM switch?
