I am not a programmer and NOT trying to tell you how to do your job or
programmer, but please make sure you investigate the Dialogic web site
before jumping into plain old modem stuff. These Dialogic boards ARE more
expensive, but they are built for background & multi-line processing.
They have MUCH more horsepower and brains on the boards.

Regardless of which hardware you ultimatley pick, assuming it can handle
two lines without stalling the main ECS logic, I am pretty sure there are
at least 8 people on this list alone that would kick in $100.

For those that demand data modem stuff, these Dialogic boards do voice,
caller-id and fax, they do not do data. But there is nothing that should
prevent you from having the modem of your choice to handle data.
