Hi Gary!

Just to be a little more clear than I was last night, you are looking for
and item-type called plc-interface-c, not an item named plc-interface-c.
So, go to your current plc item, what ever you call that (possibly
plc-interface-k?). Now, right below the name of your item, is a drop down
box called “Type:”   Scroll down till you see plc-interface-c.  Select it,
and save the item.  You should be set then.

Am I supposd to use the plc 2K or the Plc 2C?  The plc 2C is not available
so I thought perhaps the 2K had taken its place.

Then there must be an error message in the log
(not that it will help much).
Sounds like a faulty unit OR a problem with the
serial port (perhaps a conflicting IRQ).
Try another port and/or the latest rev of ECS.
