I'm having another problem with the phone service event. Occasionally
(sometimes twice a day, sometimes twice a week) when callers leave messages
and then hang up, ECS doesn't acknowledge the phone being hung up, and the
message records until the timeout is hit. When I then playback the message,
it plays a very brief squeal, and then says "Playback complete." However,
the message is never acknowledged as being played - i.e. in another 5
minutes, "you have new phone messages" At first, I thought that the callers
were simply hanging up without leaving a message, but today my wife called,
and I know she left a message - however, I can't even play it. Has anyone
seen this, or can help me fix it?
Also, is there anyway to play previous listened to messages through a remote
phone session?
BTW, I solved the ECS voice mail / fax on the same machine - sort of. I
joined www.faxpc.com and receive faxes via email.
