Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] [Fwd: Local DTMF detection ?] Michael David Tue, 25 Aug 1998 22:13:14 -0400 |
Hi Mark!
While I agree that they are asking a lot of information, I am seeing more
and more manufacturers do this in order to make sure that people claiming to
be software developers really are.
You might try sending back an email that says something like this:
Before I give you all of my information so you can add me to your mailing
list, let's make sure your product will satisfy my needs. After all, if
your product can't provide the functionality required by my software,
there's no need for me to be on your mailing list.
Here's what I mean by local pickup/hangup/DTMF > detection:
<insert appropriate description here>
What do you think :)
BTW, it is not clear to me whether the Dialogic board will do any
local-phone detection. It will be interesting to see what response you get.
Cheers!
Michael David
