Mark,
I too experienced the problem of voice mail not answering reliably.
Sometimes it would not answer, somtimes it would answer and record to end of
time allotted and sometimes it would record a message (or so ECS said) but
wouldn't play it back (or what was played back didn't last more than 5-10
seconds).
Always, I could "reboot" the system and all would be well again for 3 to 4
days.
I chalked it up to:
Windows 98SE
Multiport serial card on 1 IRQ
Running ACE Server concurrently
Running SYGATE concurrently
Running RAdmin (or other remote control software) concurrently
Odd phase of the moon (... ok, ok, just kidding about this one!)
My solution was to have the computer reboot each night at 2:36 AM. I didn't
have any more problems after that, as long as the reboot was successful
(sometimes it wouldn't be successful).
I never reported it as a "Problem" as I believed my configuration somewhat
unique and as long as it was solvable by a reboot.
Bill Walters
