Let me share something I have noticed for anyone this would help. I found that if I
record a greeting with my phone that is connected to the voice modem, that it is recorded
in a .rpc file. Let's say this is 000.rpc (default greeting). Then when I setup the
ITEM for the default greeting and specify that it is using the associated 000.wav file,
when it plays back it runs at high speed ¯ like fast forward. This sounds like a high
whine. BUT if I specify that it is using the 000.rpc file, then it works and plays
back at the right speed. My assumption is that if you use the microphone connected
to the soundcard to record your greeting message and THEN specify that the greeting
is 000.wav it would probably work O.K. I even think that Mark does some conversions
when you record one of these and it get converted to the other type too. I found this
out because I wanted to use wav files already recorded to greet people, or mix my own
wav files with music in the background, and put this as the file to play when greeting
someone.

Anyway, I don't know if this helps, but just to throw in my two cents worth.

Any comments are welcome. Especially if I'm doing sonething wrong.
