Anyone have any input on this? I've triple checked everything from ECS.HTM
and UPD.TXT. I also tried it today from a fourth computer, same thing. The
session is still timing out after one minute.

Martin, thanks for the reply. I've checked the browser machine and there
are no ECS*.class files on the machine - even while browsing the ECS page.
I've tried manually copying the ECS*.class files to the browser machine,
same thing.
Also, I've noticed that the www session terminates after 1 minute, whether
I'm browsing through groups or sitting idle.
If someone would like to try browsing to my machine to see if it works for
them, email me privately and I'll give you the ip and a temporary password.
Maybe it's just me ;-)
Hmm.. just found the Java console - and here's what's going on when I
connect to the ECS machine:
Ecsio:init...

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a similar problem I had - the browser is supposed to
"download" the ecs*.class files but doesn't. Search your browser machine for
ecs*.class, check the date - if they're not the newest as seen on your ECS
machine, delete them.
If you're using ECS and the browser on the same machine the old files
may be in some java directory hosing things up.

I hope I'm not rehashing old stuff, but I am having problems
connecting to ECS through the web. I remember going back and forth with
changes needed to the Java Custom settings and the 'update pages on every
visit' in Internet Explorer.
I can load up the pages OK, but nothing happens when I click on
the icons. I am using the latest 4.4.004. The icon names appear, but all
the states are displayed as '?'. When you click on the icon, there are no
choices on the right frame - it's just blank. Another symptom is that I
have to hit refresh on every page, as the previous page is displayed. I do
have the Cache set to update pages on every visit to the page.
Every page I go to gives errors similar to this:
Line: 5
Char: 1
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
UR:: http://ip.ip.ip.ip:3000/main.htm
I've tried it both locally through the network, and also on a
different computer remotely through the internet. I'm using the Linksys
Cable modem router, which I've opened up port 3000 and assigned it to the
ECS machine. I have followed the steps in ECS.HTM to the 'tee' - Java
JavaScript enabled, the Java Custom settings were changed.
