I don't understand what you mean that the modem blaster requires special
software?  I do know that this board comes with a cable to connect it
with a sound blaster board for improved sound capabilities.

From what I have heard here, the Dialogic is the only choice,
given that the Phone Blaster has been discontinued for a good
while now, and the Modem-Blaster(HAL-2000 selection??) requires
