Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Discrete IR signals? Kevin Keast Thu, 27 Jul 2000 08:35:38 -0700 |
Hi A.J.
ECS only knows how to send commands to a specific IR controlling device.
The OCELOT sound the same as the HomeVision. You have to teach each
device the IR command. If the device you want to control can accept
'discrete commands' I can teach those to my HomeVision and call them
with ECS. ECS has nothing to do with learning or understanding IR codes,
it simply communicates with the IR device (The IR device -OCELOT/HV/JDS)
does all the IR sending and receiving. I know HomeVision can be taught
any IR command. You can only store 30 of them unfortunately.
Hope this helps,
Kevin
