I have one of these Nutone 32 Remotes. Works very well. I reliably can be
about 40 feet away and get a response. Mostly used in the master bedroom but
I use it to test things from other bedrooms in the house.  I don't have the
antenna extended and it sits behind a cedar chest but for my needs it works.
Very reliable within the room the receiver is placed in. You do have to give
the buttons a good push to make contact.
They are kind of big.
