RE: [ECS] Dedicated Speakers vs Local Phone Sessions

i ended up with a set of the recoton W440's. they're a bit of an
overkill, but i occasionally use them for music too. one other reason
that i got the 440 was that there was one version (sorry - forgot
which) that had one AC cord for both speakers (i've placed them in
different rooms...)

i have to agree with dan about the occasional buzz and crackle, but
once you've got things placed and don't move the
receivers/transmitter, it doesn't make that much noise. i actually
have mine behind pieces of furniture, so i hear very little hissing
(and it's pretty cool when the couch announces who's calling on the
phone...)

there is a pop when you give power to the speakers, but i've decided
to leave mine on 24-7. i've had them running that way for about a
year and haven't noticed any adverse affects.
