I agree with the extra push on the buttons and it gets worse with use and age. I am thinking of pulling appart one of my old ones and experimenting. They use little metal shaped pieces over two contacts on the circuit board. The metal is popped (bent) to touch both contacts. I am considering trying to solder the edge onto the outside contact to see if it helps reliablility. It may just break the solder though. Is there any thing that can be used to help the contacts connect more reliabily? Simmiler with problems on IR remotes and some phones that use rubber buttons with carbon contacts on the backside.
