Richard,
Occasional posters like myself will forget this "nul" pointer and post
messages as replies expecting them to reach the list. No error is returned
when you send to a "nul"  so the poster goes away thinking their important
thoughts have been indellibly left in the cyber-space.

The list-hammering has only happened once or twice and in this case I think
it is a case of the cure being worse than the disease. It is really
necessary to take this drastic action ?
