Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Phone Interface C Modem Martin Terry Sat, 5 Aug 2000 20:37:32 -0700 |
Mark, this link is for Zoom's dual mode model, not the comstar. Will this
one work as well? The dual mode is part number 2822, the comstar is 2818.
How about the Comstar 28.8? Zoom has these for sale in it's factory store. I
don't intend to use the modem I choose for data, only for CID and phone
messages.
The one I just tried, and will have to return, is a Modem Blaster 56K. It is
a voice/data/fax modem and comes with it's own answering machine
application, which works just fine.
ECS complains that the modem gave an error at the command AT+FCLASS=8. I can
enter this command at a hyperterm session and get an OK response. There are
other commands in the phn1.set that DO give errors however, the one with the
FFFFFFFC in it returns an error response when I try it manually, the others
seem to be fine.

Is it a Rockwell VOICE modem ?
If so, it should work, and I'll need more info (please use PR.TXT).
Otherwise, you can get the Comstar here (they call it the "56KV"):
