Mark,
The ECS web interface is moving along just great. The new TV Guide stuff is
awesome! Not just functional, but a great learning tool for getting the most
out of ECS's web interface.
I have a question - Is there a way to get the text string of a text item
into a web page using jscript without using the existing ECS applet?
Or better yet, can you give us a parameter to change the grey background of
the applet? For example, I have several web pages that show the text of a
text item on the page, but currently it always has a grey background.
I can get rid of the border now, thanks to the parameter you added! I'd love
to be able to set the background color, or better yet make the web page
background "show through". (transparent? I'm not sure what the term is).
Oh yeah, another couple of enhancement requests :)
Can you make a parameter so an "applet" is display only? (So nothing happens
when you click on it?) For example I'd like to display the status of an item
on a web page, but not allow changes.
Also, how about being able to pass the text that displays when you hover
over an applet ( Currently they all say "ECS item: click"). It'd be great to
say "Click to turn on the stereo" or something like that when you hover over
an item.
Thanks for all the hard work.
