Mark,
I've been very happy with my TDK VeloCD 8x4x32. The "nicety" about this IDE
drive is that it can rip CD's into MP3's at up to 20x. Cost was $230 a few
months ago. Not a single problem, so far, and I've burned almost 200 CD's.
