No, it's in the conversion to .RPC.  I noticed a DOS box was popping up on
the taskbar - so I opened it and hit pause.  There were three commands
there:  wavpvf, pvfsp, and pvfrmd.  This DOS box was there for most of the
delay.

During the delay, watch the ECS message line.
Is it taking a long time to convert the text to a WAV file ?
