Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Does Panasonic Pass Caller-ID? David Kindred Fri, 1 Sep 2000 14:45:29 -0400 |
Hey, Don.
I was looking at this combo:
* KX-TD816 KSU ($844)
* KX-TD170 8+8 phone module ($323)
* KX-TD193 4-line Caller ID module ($225)
I don't know whether or not I'll do it, because you can see how expensive it
is just to get the base unit. System phones are $110 - $250 each on top of
that. My existing phone system is pretty decent, it just doesn't pass the
Caller-ID. Maybe I can get one of those old Vive Caller-ID units and put
that outside of the KSU and let ECS sit on the inside with the Zoom modem.
I'd rather have an all-in-one solution for answering the phone and getting
Caller-ID information, because it would seem less error-prone. But, I don't
know what's best.
I'm going to see what the market value is of the two phone systems I have
before I make any decisions.

What KSU are you looking at? the old 318 did not pass caller ID as far as I
know.
