do so and that it was not too much trouble. So I leave it to you guys to
vote on having a list / forum that could possibly serve the ECS World
better. The proposed list would be open to all.
I kinda like the idea of more than one list, but I don't have any idea on
how to divide it. I don't think we need to separate based on Windows vs
DOS, yet. I am still using v3.3 under DOS, but sometimes the discussions of
the very new stuff are interesting/relevant. So, I would still need to
subscribe to both! The only advantage would be to aid
filtering/sorting/searching...
But that can be easily handled if people keep the subject line RELEVANT!
PLEASE, if the subject is drifting from the original topic, PLEASE change
the subject line. For example the JDS list just had a LONG discussion about
worthington, but it was all under the subject of 'thermostat recommendations'.
Also, please don't quote the entire message when replying and reply directly
to the sender when appropriate to avoid clogging the list.
So, I guess I don't object to a second list, but I wonder who wouldn't
subscribe to both anyway?
As long as we are taking a survey: Am I in the minority that still use a non
HTML mail reader? What is list policy about HTML encoded posts? I see
exactly how much longer HTML posts are and I am much more critical about
keeping those longer posts. They also take twice as long to download.
