Reddy,

This may be the problem... DON'T use the "for telephone" voice. I know, I
know, that's backwards but using the "for telephone" voice screws up the
speech output. Try the "normal" Mary, reboot and try again...

This is driven by your CPU and what is "running". I expect you have too
much "overhead" on your machine. I had the same delay when I was using a
K6-266 cpu; changed out to K6-2 400 and MUCHO better... Make sure you have
128 MB ram also, if you're running anything else besides ECS.

Are you saying you cannot get an outgoing announcement to play on the phone
modem when you call in? Can't get phone messages that ECS recorded to play
on the phone when you call in to retrieve them, or something else entirely??
I have never used .WAV files, just text files for speech output.

Never seen this error, but I suspect that it has to do with the encoding of
your .WAV file. Anyone else got any ideas?

Sure, start the line with a semi-colon as the first character, and remark
away!

Good luck!
