Although the list (even the digested ver) is fully capable of handling
HTML and attachments, it can be a problem for people with programs that
do not fully support HTML and people with not-that-fast Internet
connections.
Unfortunately, most people do not have the option of selecting which
e-mails they want, so they have to wait for all to download. There is a
size cap on messages, but it allows for moderate sized attachments which
can be useful for all list members.
A lot of people use the subject to sort their messages, so keeping the
subject understandable and relevent to the message you are posting make
it much easier for these people. You can also retrieve subject lists
and retrieve messages (since June 1, 1998) you may of "lost."
