Subject: From: Date: | Dropouts in Windows Media Player Mark Gilmore Sat, 23 Sep 2000 16:14:35 -0400 |
Anyone have any idea how to avoid the repeated/obnoxious/persistent
dropouts when playing audio archives thru WMP ?
If I lower the buffer size, it just drops out more often.
If I increase it, it happens less often, but takes longer
to "recover".
Checking/unchecking "UDP" has no positive effect.
It SEEMS that this program is NOT buffering in the background
(i.e. it gets a buffer, plays it, then gets another).
I've done an EXTENSIVE web search on this topic and have
turned up nothing (no one else seems to be having this problem).
I am using the latest rev for Win95 (6.4).
Perhaps I could play these files via ANOTHER pgm ?
Tanx,
