I have just verified that you have found a BUG.
I will be uploading the new release shortly (today).
Thanks for the reports, and sorry for the hassle.

NOTE: The current manual states that you can use astericks
for single digits (e.g. "127.12*.0.1"). This will NOT be the
case in the new release, in which an asterisk may be used
only to replace the whole "value" (e.g. "127.*.0.1").
