Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] X-10 communication help... Stephen Weiss Fri, 29 Sep 2000 15:09:26 -0400 |
A.J.
I actually did e-mail ADI, and they told me that the in-wall
transmitters transmit the extended X-10 signals that the
TW523 won't forward onto the Ocelot or any other controller.
What confuses me about this is that the in-line modules that
I have work fine, so I don't see what the extended X-10 has
to do with anything, and to me the TW523 should pick these
up. The TW523 is supposed to be two-way, is it not?
Also, I did joing the mailing list prior to receiving your
e-mail. Thanks for the suggestion.
I wanted to try out the C-Max software just to make sure
things were working, but I ran across this issue. I plan
to move onto ECS, if I can (or even can't) get a worthwhile
answer to this.
Regards,
Stephen Weiss

» Hmmm... Sounds like a ADI question really. Go to
» http://www.futurestandard.com/mailinglists.htm and join the
» CPU-XA mailing
» list. CPU-XA is what they used to call the Ocelot. I have
» an Ocelot since
» December, but only used the C-MAX software for about 3
» minutes. Since then,
» I've used ECS exclusively. I'm sure if you try both, you'll

» Good Luck

» All,
»
» I just received an Ocelot with a TW523 X-10 communication unit.
»
» I have a number of in-wall controllers which I use to control X-10
» in-line modules and outlets. When I use the supplied Ocelot
» software to monitor the X-10 commands and I use the in-wall
» controllers to transmit a message, I don't see it in the X-10 log.
» Is this typical operation? Shouldn't I see the X-10 messages
» from an in-wall controller? I know the messages are going out
» because the in-line units work fine.
»
» Any/All help is greatly appreciated,
» Stephen Weiss
