Joe,

Take a look in the ECS code archive (ftp://ftp.gallops.com/ecs/repository/)
and look for Garnet Bailey's old config. You'll find an example in there of
most of what you want to do. You'll maintain a separate text file of all
the phone numbers you want to deal with and assign them different codes. In
the case of Garnet's example, there are 3 categories of callers:
solicitors, friends and family. You'll see how solicitors (code numbers
9000 - 9999) get a special message. That should help you with your question.

caller and be able for them to leave a message. I’m trying to modify the
configuration file that is sent with ECS. From what I gather when the
phone rings phone-answer is set to answer plays a message and records the
response. I have modified the phone event so that it looks at @CID.ID file
and sets CID-C accordingly. So its not a problem to put in the phone event

specify a variable file name in PHONE-ANSWER? As Always I appreciate the
help,
