Hi all,
ECS 4.4.010 has been released/uploaded, and incorporates
the changes below. Upgrade instructions are attached.

	4.4.010 (10/09/00)

*   88)	The "CPU-XA" "module" designation for various OCELOT-related
Types
	has been changed to "Main".
	To make the required changes, please enter the following:
		EDM ECS.CFG
		C/ :CPU-XA :Main
		W
		Q

    89)	As the LEOPARD IS an OCELOT with additional touch-screen
features,
	ECS can now support the LEOPARD as both (i.e. no OCELOT is needed).
	To do this, define a PLC-INTERFACE-K Item and a TOUCH-SCREEN-K
	Item whose module ID is "Main".

    90)	We have dropped support for the CP290 (old 1-way X10
transmitter).

*   91)	The following Types have been renamed
	(please change as required in ECS.CFG):

    93)	For ECS/WWW users who wish to use a CUSTOMIZED version of
MAIN.HTM
	(and PREVENT ECS from re-generating it when requested), create a TEXT
	Item named "ECS_MAIN_HTM_GEN" whose Text-Line is "1".

    94)	For ECS/WML users who wish to use a CUSTOMIZED version of
MAIN.WML
	(and PREVENT ECS from re-generating it when requested), create a TEXT
	Item named "ECS_MAIN_WML_GEN" whose Text-Line is "1".

Downloading/Installing Updates (for Windows)
Note: To obtain updated executables only (perhaps for a bug fix), download/unzip ECSEXE.ZIP.

To download/install a full update:

For ECS-Standard users: Email us for the current Authorization-Code (if you have not already received it from us). Without the proper code, ECS will run in Lite mode. One of the following upgrade charges apply, per your current version (also see note below):

NOTE:: As we did not want to charge customers for features they don't use, we chose to use the "honor method" for the 4.4 upgrade charge (which featured the WWW and WAP Phone interfaces). If you use either, please send an additional amount as you deem appropriate.
These charges do NOT apply to those who purchased ECS in the last 6 months, or those who have have spent significant time beta testing (please remind us of this when requesting the code). If, for any reason, you feel that the charge should not apply to you, please let us know why and we will try to accommodate.
We do not require payment before providing the code (your notice of intent to pay is sufficient).

Backup your existing ECS folder(s), in case a problem arises with the update.
WARNING: If you have customized ICONS.DEF or any icon image files, they MUST be backed up, as they will be overwritten during the install.
Download ECS.ZIP into an empty folder.
NOTE: To create a new folder:
Unzip ECS.ZIP in that folder.
From your Win DeskTop, click START, RUN, BROWSE, and select SETUP.EXE in the folder.
If you had customized ICONS.DEF or any icon image files, restore your backed-up copies.
CAREFULLY REVIEW THE UPDATES DESCRIBED IN UPD.TXT, AND MAKE ANY REQUIRED CHANGES.

Note: To obtain the updated "ecs" executable only (perhaps for a bug fix), download/unzip ecslnxexe.zip.

Download ecslnx.zip into an empty directory.
Unzip ecslnx.zip in that directory.
From that directory, unzip ecslnx.zip (i.e. enter "unzip ecslnx").
Enter "chmod +x setup".
Enter "./setup {dir}", where {dir} is your ECS directory (the default being /home/ecs).
Delete all files in the download directory (i.e. "rm *.*").
If you had customized ICONS.DEF or any icon image files, restore your backed-up copies.
CAREFULLY REVIEW THE UPDATES DESCRIBED IN UPD.TXT, AND MAKE ANY REQUIRED CHANGES.
