Subject: From: Date: | Problems with TTS and ECS under Linux Richard & Sandra Pompili Wed, 25 Oct 2000 21:42:33 -0400 |
Can anybody share some ideas about working with TTS and Linux (Caldera
2.4).
I have a problem with the TTS feature. I have followed the ECS (4.4.010)
documentation about installing the Festival software, export variables
and password requirements. The TTS item start OK when ECS starts, but
when I open the TTS item and press test, ECS locks up. The last two
lines showing on my terminal session are:
- TTS: Hello. This is a test. (no voice output)
- Converting text to tts.wav ...
I have to press ctrl + c to end my ECS session.
Any ideas ? How can I test Festival without using ECS ? Why is ECS
trying to convert this TTS item in a wav file ?
Thank you,
Richard Pompili
