Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Problems with TTS and ECS under Linux Mark Gilmore Thu, 26 Oct 2000 09:03:00 -0400 |
Hi Richard,
What rev of Linux are you running ?
Another customer (running RH 6.0) had a problem whereby
there was a bug in the RH function used to monitor .WAV
playbacks (which resulted in an infinite wait condition
when waiting for the playback to complete).
See if you can create/play a SOUND-RECORDING (i.e. .WAV file).
If it does the same thing, this is the same problem, and
my only suggestion is to upgrade to RH 6.2.
btw, TTS 1st converts the text to a .WAV and then plays the .WAV.
