How long is the run to upstairs? As far as I know, an amp is only required
when you have to go extremely long distance. Have you tried it without the
amp?
Also, did you use quad shield RG6?

Subject: [ECS] RF Noise
Got a good question for the TV Guru's out there......... Been trying to
git my TV reception up to par and need some hep.
Here is what I have discovered and want to know if anyone has any ideas on
a fix...... TV reception (cable) upstairs is fine when the cable from
downstairs is hooked directly to the TV. There is a Channel Vision Amp on
the cable downstairs before it feeds the kitchen and upstair TV. When I
run the cable first to the VCR and then to the TV I am apparently picking
up noise ----- VCR is new within the year..... It is not the cable
between VCR and TV
... Tested that out .......
Outside of replacing the VCR any ideas ?????
Gary
