Subject: From: Date: | Zoom Modem Woes don.sb.net.sb.net Fri, 04 Sep 1998 09:02:30 +700 |
I'm still fighting my 56k Zoom Modem and have the sinking feeling that it's
just not going to work. Part of my problem is that I don't have a simple
windows comm program where I can type the AT commands and see the results.
Is it correct to assume that if I modify PHN_C.SET while in ECS (Shelling to
DOS ) and then resetting the modem (F5), that I will see the actual results
of that change, or do I need to exit ECS and reinitialize in order to see
what AT commands work?
The reason I ask is that some of the few AT commands that came with my modem
booklet don't work if I edit PHN_C.SET while shelling from ECS (using
<Ctrl>, S ) and upon re-entering ECS resetting the modem.
