Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Voice modem hassles Kevin Keast Fri, 17 Nov 2000 17:58:29 -0500 |
Hi All,
I am reading some really great comments and conclude that the modem issue is
a REAL issue.
My brief opinion: If we select a particular type of modem I agree that in a
few years we may very well be in the same boat as we are now. Another issue
is the marketability of ECS. People would be more likely to buy it if it
worked with a number of modems vice only one.
My vote is for TAPI or JTAPI or any STANDARD that is being used in other
APPS. Applying to standards will in the long run preserve ECS as it will
continue to be compliant with new devices. New modem manufacturers will
comply to standards because the demands are there - The users want modems
that will work with new and old software.
I think my input is only worth .01 cent!
Kevin

A.J.,
Have you tried the SUPRA with ECS ?
I think it will work.
