Hi All,

This issue with the voice modem.  I am wondering....were we looking in the
right place?

I have been working on a 911 - Coast Guard integration project for the past
year and have found that all the 911 hardware is manufactured by either big
companies like LUCENT, SAIC, or DIALOGIC.  I am wondering if we should
approach this not as a modem solution but as a telephony solution.

I did not see much of the ECS DOS days or the days of the bigmouth but I am
wondering if ECS tried to merge two technologies before it was time - that
being data transfer and telephony or CT (Computer Telephony).

Comments, Thoughts?
