It's not straight forward, but instead of using a T1/A<-Stt, use Set
<space>.... Like this:

Then Phone:CID Info Set Reset
Then Phone:CID Info T1<-Stt Month
Then Phone:CID Info Set <Space>
Then Phone:CID Info T1/A<-Stt Date
Then Phone:CID Info Set :
Then Phone:CID Info Set <Space>
Then Phone:CID Info T1/A<-Stt Current Time
Then Phone:CID Info Set .
Then Phone:CID Info Set <Space>
Then Phone:CID Info T1/A<-T1 CID-Name
Then Phone:CID Info Set .
Then Phone:CID Info Set <Space>
Then Phone:CID Info T1/A<-T1 CID-Number

[Note the colons and periods...]

Hope this is what you're looking for....

Subject: [ECS] Another simple question that I can't answer on my own!

My ECS syntax question of the day is:

How do a append a space to a text item (or for that matter append any
other special character)?

I am trying to assemble a message in a text item from various other text
items. I need to insert spaces between the words. I have tried appending a
character item with a space value. I seem to get "<space>" rather than an
actual space. When I define a text item that I want to assign the value of
space, I can't seem to pick the right value to type into the item definition
dialog.

From the documentation, I can't see a way to assign the value of a
character item to a text item. I can see how to assign the name of the
character item. I can see how to assign the name of the value of the
character item (this works fine for alphabetics -- but not for special
characters like space).

Please help. I know it must be simple.

  Thanks.

  Kevin

It's not straight forward, but instead of using a T1/A<-Stt, use Set <space>....   Like this:

Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        Reset
Then       Phone:CID Info          T1<-Stt    Month
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        <Space>
Then       Phone:CID Info          T1/A<-Stt  Date
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        :
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        <Space>
Then       Phone:CID Info          T1/A<-Stt  Current Time
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        .
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        <Space>
Then       Phone:CID Info          T1/A<-T1   CID-Name
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        .
Then       Phone:CID Info          Set        <Space>
Then       Phone:CID Info          T1/A<-T1   CID-Number
