Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] From prototype test bed to real life testing. Doug Storey Tue, 28 Nov 2000 09:13:16 -0600 |
Based on my past experiences
1. Do you have a phase coupler installed.
2. Start looking for the device that is electrically noisy (i.e. TV refrig
etc.) that is between (or bridge tapped between) the Ocelot and the motion
sensor in that 120 foot run.

Subject: [ECS] From prototype test bed to real life testing.
Hello to everyone.
With Mark Gilmore's help, I have been able to get my ecs and ocelot working
in test bed mode, but when
moved..............
The ECS program seemed to be working well with everything set up in one
room. I moved it to the real situation
where the equipment is 40 actual feet from one of the X10 motion sensors.
However, the electrical path is
probably 120 feet. That sensor's X10 code is not picked up by the Ocelot.
However, I have an appliance module
within 3 feet on the same circuit that does pick up the sensor's code. Any
suggestions?
Thanks,
Dennis Fenske
