No, it has a built in modem, but is one of the few devices that can use a
USB ethernet adapter. They have several support docs on how to connect via
DSL or cable modem on their web site.
Here's a good link:

Doesn't this device only have a modem and not a NIC?

Subject: [ECS] 3com Internet Appliance - Audrey
ECSers,
Although I'm currently having ECS withdrawal until my new house is
complete,
I have been studying the prospect of what to install.
Has anyone seen "Audrey", 3coms new internet appliance? It's small, it
has a
built in browser, and can connect to an ethernet network without using a
preselected service like MSN.
Compaq has a similar machine, but is tied directly to MSN, which I don't
want (I'm planning a cable modem).
I'm looking for something that will work nicely in the kitchen.
Audrey is small, touchscreen or keyboard, and available in several
designer
colors :) All for about $600...
