i've been watching for qubit devices... the idea is that you have some sort of base
station that connects to the internet (via phone or ethernet) and a pad that communicates
wirelessly (2.4 GHz) with the base. you get a nice-sized touch screen with an on-screen
keyboard. it looks ideal for use with the web-functionality of ECS. they say that they
expect
prices to drop once large-scale rollouts take place.
