Fri, 8 Dec 2000 12:56:29 -0500 (EST) Hello Yes I was in need of a WEEDER a while back and found one from someone on the list. While looking for one I was determined to build my own. The only dedicated component of the weeder interface is the PREPROGRAMMED PIC microcontroller all other components are available from digikey. I was able to buy a preprogrammed PIC microcontroller chip from WEEDER as a single component even after they discontinued it. I am not sure if they are still available. If you really want to build one of these I would give them a call and see if it is still available. The remainder of the components would probally cost about $20.00. If the need were great I know a company that makes circuit cards and could probally reproduce the WEEDER circuit card. (I do electrical drafting as my profession).
