RE: [ECS] Local address masks ?

The floowing address ranges can be used without registering with the
Internet registry.

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 ,192.168.0.0 -
192.168.255.255
These addresses will not be routed across the Global internet

I use my own class C address range(not registered) and then NAT it with a
firewall so only one IP address is visible on the Internet.

When you refer to ignoring an address. Does this just refer to the ISP
functionality?

I vote for the ability to change the range to ignore and set the default
(out of the box) to the way it is today.

Brad

Mark,

I use 192.168.0.xx for my private network. This addressing scheme is what
was suggested by the SYGATE software folks (Internet sharing software for
home networks).
