Joe,
Does your X10 Powermid stuff work? I got a set of those to use
with my Ocelot and they didn't work worth a darn, had to ship em
back. It appeared as though they were very noisy and would pick
up any signal and convert it into jibberish. I had the transmitter
sitting right next to the Ocelot receiver. I wanted to be able
to turn on lights with my remote control in the family room where
the other Powermid was located.
Needless to say, the lights kept turning on and off randomly. When
I watched the Powermid next to the Ocelot, it would be sending IR
randomly. When the "noise" was recognized as a pattern by the
Ocelot, it would act!
After sending them back and switching to a hard-wired solution,
things work perfectly.
Also, if your bent on keeping the Powermid stuff, you have to watch
out about plugging them directly into the Ocelot. I don't remember
the details or where I saw it, but I've seen a long discussion on
plugging them directly into the Ocelot. From what I remember, it
wasn't a straightforward issue.
