Mark -
Here's a update. While I still don't know why this
is happening I have nailed it down to what is doing it.
I started having this problem when I activated TV Listings and
noticed that whenever a dos window was opened by "TVL"
or "TV-Listings" my computer would hang, for example if I was
moving the mouse it would stop moving. Well after looking
at "TVL" I noticed it opens a dos window ever 3, 8, 13....
and so on for a total of 12 times a hour. Now each time it
opens I lose between 7 to 12 seconds per opening. (Whenever
the Dos windows is opened it would appear to stop the computer
Clock) Now if you include 2 more dos openings by "TVL Listings"
per hour you can see after a few hours it get more and more
behind. Why would this be happening and what can be done
to correct it?
For now I have modified "TVL" so that it will
only update at 58 and 28. I believe this would limit
me to recording shows that start at 00 and 30, is
this correct? I have also installed a program that will
set the computer time to Atomic Time whenever the computer
connects to the internet and I have ECS connect to the internet
every two hours. In the past the computer was anywhere from
400 to 500 seconds behind. I will test this for a few days and
see if the above modifications help any.

Hi Joe,
This was a problem a LONG time ago with ECS/DOS,
but it never was a problem with ECS/WIN.
However, I AM curious to know what could cause such
a problem.
