Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Linux Sound Card Joseph LaFerla Tue, 2 Jan 2001 08:56:13 -0700 |
HI Richard
I had some trouble with sound cards in linux. I still have not been able to
get ecs to work properly with my setup. I currently have a linux box which
runs a ham radio application with a sound card with great results. I have
since decided to move ecs onto a stand alone box. The SB Live works but I
had trouble getting the SB PCI 128 to work. I will be using an ISA AWE Gold
with ECS next once I get the Operating System installed hopefully today. I
can let you know how it goes.

Subject: [ECS] Linux Sound Card
Hi all!
Trying out the Linux version of ECS... and was
wondering if anyone knew if Linux accesses the Sound
Card hardware directly or through a Linux Sound Card
driver? (is it possible to use a SB pci version?)
Thanks..
Richard
