Subject: From: Date: | Can't set TV channels via TV-guide.htm Mark Sekelsky Thu, 4 Jan 2001 20:33:24 -0600 |
Hi Mark,
My second issue is that I can no longer set channels on my TV using TV
guide.htm. I am currently running the beta version 4.4.014. From any PC in
my house I access main.htm. From there I click on the "TV-guide link." This
brings up the page that shows all shows that are currently showing or will
be showing in the next couple of hours. In the past I would click on one of
the shows and ECS would send the IR signals to set my TV to the appropriate
station. Although this has worked in the past it has not worked since I
installed the beta software. I now get the error message "Bad cmd
"Item_Set"."
In your last communication prior to leaving on vacation you suggested that I
ensure that my browser cache was cleared. I did clear the cache, but it did
not resolve problem. I have the same situation (air message) with all five
PCs back in access TV guide .htm. I am running Internet Explorer version 5
or 5.5 on all PCs. Win 98.
I know that the issue is NOT in any of my TVL events. None of these events
even get accessed by the pressing of a TV show button (I inserted temp lines
in the events to play a wav file when the event is accessed. I tried
installing the last full version of ECS from the beginning of Dec. (4.4.012
I think) but it still doesn't work. I beleive I was one version back from
that when everything did work.
Other than installing the latest beta I have made no changes to the PC or
anything in ECS.
