Mark,

I am having trouble with the 'reboot' event. I changed it a bit so it would gracefully
shut down and restart Windows (98). That seems to work about 25% of the time. Sometimes
I can 'reboot' from the web interface, other times there are errors there. I have an
event that is supposed to reboot the box every day at 01:00 and it fails frequently.
Here is a copy of the 'reboot' event as it stands today:

BEGINIF Reboot Is True
Do Reboot Set False
If Operating-System Is Windows
Then KB:<CTL> Set Down
Then KB:<ESC> Set Down/Up
Then KB:<CTL> Set Up
Then KB:U Set Down/Up
Then KB:R Set Down/Up
Then KB:Enter Set Down/Up
ENDIF
Another problem is related to the log purging. All the motion in the house is logged
so the depending upon the number of people in the house, there can be quite a few logs
when midnight rolls around and the log is purged. Is there a problem with renaming
this file just prior to midnight? Will ECS become unhappy if it cannot find this file
or will it just start a new one? Do I need to touch a new file? Do the phone message
logs need to be in msg.log?

And finally; we talked a little about the menu-file item toward the middle of December.
I looked at it but had some troubles. I posted this while you were on vacation and
haven't heard any responses:

Subject: [ECS] Menu-File with Web Interface

Is anybody using Menu-File with the web interface? When the window is opened for
the menu, it is opened on the PC running ECS which obviously won't do. Please include
any events that may help me understand how it is working.

  I am able to make it work ok with the ECS interface on the PC running the program;
just not on the web.

  Rick

Mark,

I am having trouble with the 'reboot' event.  I changed it a bit so it would gracefully shut down and restart Windows (98).  That seems to work about 25% of the time.  Sometimes I can 'reboot' from the web interface, other times there are errors there.  I have an event that is supposed to reboot the box every day at 01:00 and it fails frequently.
