Hello everyone,

This looks like a really neat device.

1) We use dual-fuel heat pumps. This unit is advertised as being appropriate
for heat pump use, but heat pumps are not mentioned in the installation
manual or the users manual.

Our Honeywell programmable thermostats (programmed by finger....how RETRO)
have a switch that allows us to choose heat or aux heat. (Aux heat is
natural gas in our case, but could be resistance heat for others.)

Not having an Aux Heat option destroys the usefulness to us.

If Aux Heat IS available to be programmed, Mark, here is a cool feature that
could be used:
Have a Cool Setpoint, say 73 degrees.
Have a Heat Setpoint, say 71 degrees,
AND if your Davis Weather Monitor shows Outside Temp < 35F use Aux
Heat instead of Heat Pump.

That way you use the heat pump to its best advantage, but automatically
switch to Aux Heat only when it is too cold for a heat pump to be cost
effective.

2) It is much more expensive than it ought to be.

3) I suspect this is version 1.0. I'll look again when they support heat
pumps better, and all you guys buy enough to make the price go down.
